Cookies and similar technologies policy

Technologies covered

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Local storage (localStorage) is a separate technology that can retain information on your device. This policy covers both, together with the optional analytics script.

What the site uses

  • agress-privacy-v1 (localStorage): saves acceptance or refusal and the date of your choice, without your name or email. It is written only when you choose and is necessary to remember that choice. Valid for 180 days; an expired entry is ignored and a new choice is requested. It may physically remain until replaced or cleared in the browser.
  • Umami: optional analytics through analytics.gabrielursan.ro, loaded only after acceptance. It sets no analytics cookies, but uses technical session identifiers on the server. Events older than 24 months are removed at monthly cleanup; backups have separate retention cycles.
  • Cloudflare security cookies, when a security check is needed: for example, cf_clearance may be present depending on the active check. Lifetime is determined by the active mechanism and is visible in the browser. Such cookies are treated as necessary when used strictly for security. Not every visit receives them.

During the ordinary homepage check on 13 September 2026, no cookies were set. The current website has no WordPress accounts, comments, Gravatar, shopping cart, Google Analytics or Meta Pixel. Fonts, images and our video files are served by the site. Social links are not embedded widgets.

Accept, refuse or withdraw

On your first visit you may accept or refuse analytics. Before acceptance, including when the notice is simply closed, Umami does not load. Refusing does not affect navigation or the contact form. Open “Privacy preferences” in the footer to change your choice; “Withdraw consent” stops future events.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals keep analytics off. If local storage is blocked, analytics does not start. Your choice applies to this browser and domain, not automatically to every device you use.

Analytics data

Events contain page path and title, referring domain, language and screen dimensions. Umami may derive browser, device and approximate-location information. Query parameters and fragments are removed, and form fields are not sent. Session recordings and advertising profiles are not enabled.

Browser controls and further information

You can clear cookies and site data in browser settings. Clearing the preference prompts another choice, with analytics off by default. Blocking security cookies may prevent some anti-abuse checks from completing.
